What is a Divorce Coach & Why Do I Need One?
Divorce is scary and full of unknowns.
While the “coach” is often associated with its traditional role as a strategist for sports professionals, the field of coaching has grown exponentially in recent years. Coaching is the process of empowering individuals to reach their full potential though forward movement and growth. The coach works with clients to create practical steps toward achieving attainable results, holding the client accountable and supporting them throughout the process.
Divorce coaching is a specialty area within the field of coaching. My coaching practice is built upon years of working with individuals who have experienced martial breakdown, helping them to navigate toward a future of hope and renewed beginnings. I work with clients to create sound decisions, setting the foundation for your family’s future. As needed, I offer referrals to professionals or resources related to specific areas of the divorce process. I will work with you as a thinking partner, as a support person and as a cheerleader as you take the steps necessary to move forward and provide for your and your children’s needs.
Setting the Tone for Your Divorce
How would you like to look back upon this day in five years’ time? Will your actions and tactics have achieved the goals you sought? The manner in which we communicate with others sets the groundwork for future interactions. During a divorce, when emotions are running high, it is so easy to lose sight of the larger picture. A key aspect of my work with clients is assisting them in choosing the tone they would like their divorce to take. The power to set the tone, to deescalate the conflict and to still achieve your goals is in your hands. Employing simple strategies, I will help ensure that your divorce reflects the dignity and grace you seek for yourself and your children.
