The Value of a Dad

The value of a Dad is in
Encouraging questions while littles find the answers;
Allowing exploration, teaching skills for navigation;
Imparting money not as metal but as the value of a job well done;
Coaching the team, noticing the individual;
Digging in the dirt, valuing the treasures of simple time;
Giving space to climb, catching them when they fall;
Teaching that to learn is to learn always from others;
Working hard, remaining patient;
Building structures, building foundations;
Cheering for the win, valuing the process;
Remaining strong, remaining humble;
Accepting others, accepting oneself;
Reminding daughters to reach for the stars;
Reminding sons that a true man has fears, dreams, kindness;
Telling stories, tucking in;
Being there, showing up;
Just being there, their dad.
